School is not what it used to be. There have been so many departures and many mid-year with little to no notice. The replacements are not good/strong hires. The class sizes have shrunk over the years as well as families have left. Academics are falling and school is challenged to field sports teams and extracurriculars as well. A lot of the school traditions have fallen to the wayside.

The faculty and staff are very caring. They will bend over backwards to make sure that the students get what they need and learn to the best of their ability.

Charles Wright is on roughly 100 acres in the middle of Tacoma/University Place. It's breathtaking. When you're on campus, you feel like you're part of a community. It feels safe and welcoming. And the faculty--wow--they really care about their students. My kids are challenged each and every day and they're better humans for it. If you're looking for an independent school in the Tacoma area, you need to check out Charles Wright Academy.
