The atmosphere in this school is amazing. The students are very outgoing and perseverant. Also, the small size of this school makes it easy to obtain all the help you need.

North Tahoe is a family. Everyone has known each other since preschool, and while this can get messy and dramatic at times, it generally results in a supportive and loving environment. You are free to be an individual and explore your interests mostly free of judgement. Beyond this, the students and teachers are healthy in all ways, living in an athletic community that promotes social acceptance.

For a small school, North Tahoe offers a lot. With an exceptional student government program as well as yearbook, drama, newspaper, and various other clubs, students have many opportunities to get involved.

Teachers are too easy on students. They have too many opportunities to redo and make up work. This is not the real world. A 70% is a B in my daughter's geometry class. How is that preparing her for college?

I have one child at NTHS and one entering in the Fall. I feel that the Principal, Assistant Principal and the Guidance Counselor do an OUTSTANDING job. Any and every time I have contacted them I have had my question answered or my problem solved within the hour. They are very attentive, approachable...

North Tahoe is a great small school. My kid enjoys the atmosphere and is able to accomplish her goals regarding AP classes and staying ahead. Although we have a mix of populations, the kids all seem to get along. Great music, art and athletics for a school of this size. Can't go wrong especially if...

In the last few years, NTHS has improved the academic quality of the classes offered. The number of AP classes has doubled and the administration is actively listening to students and parents. with a number of new teachers, students are achieving and standards are high.
