The best part of Taos High School is the connection that students have with the teachers. Each student at Taos High School has a favorite teacher that they can go to if they need anything. The Teachers at the Taos High School are always willing to help their students.

Some of the teachers are very involved and contribute a lot to the students, however we have a staffing problem so there are multiple classes with long term subs in which learning becomes much more difficult. The school also separates the "smart" and "dumb" kids very heavily. Like my dad always says its "Yale or Jail". This means there is not a lot of support for the people who are struggling with either academics or their home lives.

I would like to see better facilities. Just the other day students had to be evacuated for a gas leak. The gym has been the same for years and could really use a new look. The resources students have are not that great. Students have chrome book computers that barely hold charge and run extremely slow which makes doing their school work hard to do. There are some staff that are really helpful and some not so much. Some teachers don't seem helpful to the students and there seems to be no tutoring program for the struggling students.

I can understand that the school is lacking funds for different programs and that being a school in the state of New Mexico indirectly translates to lack of funds. However, despite the lack of funds, many students has gain...
