Flanked by two parks that look like big butterfly wings from the sky, aptly named Kyrene de la Mariposa School sits in the scenic heart of its South Tempe neighborhood. Designated a computer science academy for the Kyrene School District, the school serves about 450 students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, with an emphasis on integrating technology with learning.
In every grade, students here learn through computer science immersion instruction, which incorporates coding and computer science projects into the core curriculum.
