GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I love everything about Tenaha Highschool. This school has a wonderful band program, and I would give anything in the world just to be there for one more year. I love how the marching band executes such a powerful tone in their music each year. We managed to become state marching band champions of 2021 in conference 2AA. Marching in the Tenaha High School marching band was a wonderful experience and I hope more people get to experience the amount of blood, sweat, and tears the band has made in these past years that I've been attending. The school has made such a big impact on my life and I don't want to let the school down by doing nothing with the knowledge. Sure, some of the teachers are mean and don't give students a chance to speak their minds when they are clearly in the wrong, but not all of the teachers are bad. My Music teachers, my english teacher, and my student aid teachers, are the best people I have ever met in my life and I love them with all my heart.

I love my school! It's a great school for me. Since I came here without knowing any English at all, I have learned a lot in here. The teachers, they are great teachers for me. They have always been there for me when I have been going through something. Even though I don't deserve their love, they have always showed me that they love their students and that they care for. Now I am going to be a Senior next year; I am not ready to leave yet. School is like my second home for me. That's why when I go to college I would like to study to be a teacher and then come back to Tenaha Schools and work there.
