The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

as a current senior, I can definitely say that our school has so much to offer for anyone if you take advantage of it. When I first started East three years ago, I was worried that East wouldn't get us far but recently, I've seen people here get into insanely hard schools Yale, UPENN, Fairfield and Villanova University and they are making it through these insanely competitive schools so success is def possible for the smartest kids here. I would recommend East to a friend but there's definitely better schools out there, really hoping I get accepted to a really good college this year

The school emphasizes respect among the students and staff, students have the ability to be a part of numerous clubs or activities, and the school holds many fun events for the students to socialize.

Something that I love about our school is the school spirit, especially during football season. In addition, to being able to join a variety of clubs.

I love everything about H.S. East, never had any issues or bad experiences from the staff to the students. The academics are one of the strongest.

I attended HS East in the '80s and it was a good school. My son is now a sophomore and I REMOVED him after two marking periods of his freshman year! The teachers never answered our emails and his world civ teacher would rather put his feet up on the desk, watch basketball and have the students teach...
