Only minutes from the expansive Papago Park, Tonalea Middle School (Tonalea) sits in a convenient location for plenty of field trips or after-school detours to two of the metro area’s top destinations for learning about nature — the Phoenix Zoo and the Desert Botanical Garden. In addition to its favorable location, Tonalea follows a core vision that supports data-driven learning with a clear purpose and positive culture that helps nurture the community.
As a public school within the Scottsdale Unified School District, Tonalea serves students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Here, students can expect a rigorous AVID advancement program, as well as academics with a STEM focus, including opportunities for accelerated math, Algebra for high school credit, robotics, and even forensic science.
A range of electives complement the core curriculum including physical education, Japanese, Spanish, digital arts, student government, and video and media production.
In addition, Tonalea fosters creativity and expression through choir, percussion ensemble, band, orchestra, visual arts, drama, and the school newspaper, “Tiger News.” Tonalea Tigers can also participate in before- and after-school programs, whether they need tutoring or would like to serve their community through the National Junior Honors Society. Plenty of team sports including football, baseball, soccer, and volleyball throughout the year can kickstart an early training track for high school.

i love this school because i am here for 6 years and know there is a lot of bulling and fights but they can handle that so i hope you know this is a good school
