The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

My experience with this school has been awful. Good luck trying to meet a counselor. The lack of a library is apparent and should be fixed.

The experience I had at Tonopah Valley High School was interesting threw out the years teachers have helped me grow as a person to become the successful person I would like to be. I also had fun in dance, art, and sculpture class had to be my favorites out of the school year.

Tonopah Valley High School is a pretty good school. It has its moments like any other high school would have but overall it is not a bad school. Over my time of being at the school, in my opinion, the food got better and a lot of the teachers are nice and supportive.
No communication to parents. This school has went down hill drastically starts at the top and trickles its way down to the staff. Top staff only care about their image and not the wellbeing of students. Will hire and make pointless positions for a “teacher” just to have a coaching spot. Athletic dir...
Overall my experience at Tonopah Valley was good. I even received free tuition scholarship as well as another scholarship offered from their FFA non-profit organization.
My son went there his Freshman year. It is the worst school any of my children have attended. They do block scheduling and at any normal high school across the country 1 semester counts as a year long class (English is the only exception to this rule). They make everyone take Algebra 1 all year long...
