Anchored in the Blenman-Elm Historic District, Blenman Elementary is a public school serving about 250 children in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade as part of the Tucson Unified School District.
While embracing a “be kind” motto, the faculty here strive to help students blossom into independent thinkers through hands-on learning and open discussion. As an OMA Gold School, Blenman enhances students’ learning in core subjects through the district’s Opening Minds Through the Arts program.
To foster creativity and well-rounded individuals, the OMA program helps students develop speaking skills and confidence in a field of performing arts from theater and dance to band and orchestra. The students can also enhance critical thinking through interpreting the language of dance, deepen reasoning and math skills through composing music or further develop motor and auditory skills through violin instruction and performance.
Throughout the year, Blenman keeps students engaged outside of classes with book fairs, math and science nights in addition to school music or theater performances, among other community events.
For everyday enrichment, the district offers free before- and after-school programs where students can participate in arts and crafts, games, cooking or homework help. Overall, any child going to Blenman can make the most of their day in a welcoming environment.

This is one of the worst schools to have special education support. They flat-out will do everything to delay or deny a individualized education and break the law.
