On a cozy campus in Balboa Heights, Nash Elementary serves more than 200 students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade as part of the Amphitheater Public Schools District.
The faculty help students learn to listen, be assertive and use positive self-talk so they can succeed in all areas of personal development. Through a rigorous curriculum, students can enhance creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration whether in language arts, math, science, social studies or the fine arts.
Outside of core classes, Nash also offers a gifted REACH program with weekly instruction, an English Language Development program to help non-native speakers accelerate literacy in English, as well as a Native American Education program to meet the needs of Native communities.
Nash Roadrunners also can participate in a number of extracurriculars including the miler’s club, mythology club, Odyssey of the Mind, science fairs and the Nash explorer’s club, which takes students on monthly hikes at Saguaro National Park or other local areas.
As a welcome option for parents and caregivers, the Amphitheater Public Schools District also participates in the AlphaBEST Extended Day before- and after-school program, where students can work on homework, get healthy snacks, enjoy unstructured play or engage in themed learning activities.
In and out of the classroom, students at Nash Elementary can make the most of their day.
