Nestled in a residential neighborhood in northwest Tucson, Homer Davis Elementary serves about 400 children in kindergarten through sixth grade as a public school in the Flowing Wells School District.
Like at other elementary schools in their district, teachers at Homer Davis follow a mission to foster lifelong learners and peacebuilders. To encourage well-rounded development, the school integrates physical education and fine arts classes into the regular curriculum.
While early grades can learn the magic of music, upper grades can take classes in band and orchestra within the normal school day. In addition, students with vocal talents can gain confidence singing in choir, with opportunities for performances at school events and local festivals.
Homer Davis also offers an extended-day program called Skills for Success where students can benefit from tutoring in reading, math, language arts and digital literacy or explore real-world experiences on after-school field trips. In addition, students seeking leadership opportunities can engage in student council, while those testing above the 97th percentile can accelerate in the school’s gifted program.
For the more athletic set, aspiring athletes can build camaraderie in a number of interscholastic team sports including volleyball, basketball and cross country. Whether in or out of the classroom, Homer Davis students can find opportunities to grow.

my daughter has been here since kindergarten, no issue with her teachers from then to now. My one issue is the principal and the way he goes about discipline on bullying. Doesn't seem to be bothered much by it, he says they are kids, which I did not like that response towards the situation. Im happy...

the kids seem to watch them selfs at morning recess. also at p.e. the p.e. teacher sits on his phone and text message the whole time..
