Eliot Elementary is a public school located in historic Brookside. The school is home to a total student body of 316 students in grades Pre-K through 5th, with a 15:1 student-teacher ratio. At Eliot a philosophy of excellence is upheld through strong collaboration between students, parents, and the community. The school was named after Charles William Eliot, an American educator, former president of Harvard University, and leader in public affairs. He is considered a revolutionary figure who helped reform higher education and was vital in setting the standards of the college education system. Noted as one of the most diverse elementary schools in Oklahoma, Eliot not only produces high academic achievers but students who are also physically and emotionally aware with strong social and problem-solving skills. Test scores in math, reading, social studies, and science are consistently above the state average. A lot of students will go on to attend Edison Middle and High School, where they'll be able to tailor a magnet program to match their academic strengths. Students can also participate in a number of extracurricular activities at Eliot including the Robotics Club, Running Club, Morning Show Broadcast, Social Club, Student Council, and more. Eliot stands out from other schools by providing a holistic educational experience. Students not only learn subjects that will propel their academic careers, but also receive education in subjects that carry into adulthood like financial literacy, science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEAM), language, sports, and even gardening. Eliot strives to create well-rounded citizens that can make a difference in their communities.

The teachers are very interested in making sure the students are pushed outside their comfort zones. They separate the clicks so the students are not easy distracted in class. The administration has an open door policy and are willing to listen to parents. The Eliot Foundation was started in 2013 by...

Teachers are great, but I do feel like my daughter could be challenged more academically. Overall they do a great job and offer art, music, and computers, in addition to classroom...

Some Great Teachers! Terrible administration and clicks are worse than a high school among the parents and even some kids. My child was told he had ADD, he does not after being tested; big stigma against active boys here. Any complaints and you are labeled along with your child for all six years. Gl...
