Here, nearly 1,000 students are encouraged to form opinions that shape the school’s culture. This design has led to student-selected activity periods where students can practice yoga, anime and more. Memorial Chargers can compete in a variety of athletic teams including football, basketball, soccer, swimming, volleyball, softball, baseball, tennis, track and field, golf and cheer. Other extracurricular activities include drama club and student council. A popular program at Memorial High School is the robotics team, the Circuit Chargers. The school maintains an award-winning engineering magnet program, The Tulsa Engineering Academy at Memorial (TEAM). TEAM offers classes in engineering principles and digital electronics that are aligned with university engineering programs. Band is the only good thing about the school most of the time. Some of the teachers are understanding and teach well but most do not. Band gets little to no funding and we are purposely left out of special events. The school has no respect for its students and treats them like garbage unless they are the basketball/football guy. The school doesn't punish students properly. Even after students threaten other and are messing around in the hall. The new principle has made it a lot better than it was before but it still has a lot of pressing issues. The students have no school spirit or respect for each other. The only way people don't fight a lot is because of the doordash friday were students can get doordash on Friday if there isn't a fight that week. People are constantly disrespectful to other students and to teachers. You can not even eat the food without getting sick. The food is luckily free now but the quality went down a lot. We don't even have a drama/theater program anymore.

Memorial high school has been the best thing to ever happen to me. I will never forget the experience I had at the school. I was on the memorial soccer team and was a varsity starter for all 4 years and I will carry those memories with me for the rest of my life. I learned leadership, communication, courage, kindness, and so much more. I'm now going into college and I will take all my hard work with me and will strive to be the best in what I do.

I believe that the school could have potential. However, many teachers only care about politics than teaching the children.

They both started their Freshman year in college as a second semester freshman with 16 credit hours from MHS. They were totally prepared for college and...

Overall best HS in the district hands down. My student went to BTW for their freshman year and I got so many complaints about the teachers and administration team specifically the dean. My student's emotional well being is much better and they are more excited to go to class knowing their teacher tr...

Both of my children graduated from Memorial, 2013 and 2017. They had a great experience and are doing well in college. My daughter made dean's list last year which was her freshman year. My son is now attending graduate school at the University of Missouri.
