GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Vernonia was very small and close nit. It was a good experience but I feel like I missed out on a lot of opportunities because of the size.

Vernonia High school is an amazing school for being in such a tiny town. The teachers are fantastic and the students are pretty okay themselves. Our new building is amazing and super safe. The only downsides are that rumors spread fast and we have very little extra curriculars.

The people at this school are nice, although it is a very small town and there is drama that comes with that. Even though the school is new and looks nice, the curriculum of the school could use some work.

I attended this school. It is a joke the quality of education. I was told in 8th grade that u needed to slow down on Math or I wouldn't have enough credits to graduate High School. I was also required to carry full class load at the High School instead of attending Community College, despite being a...

This school does not exist at the location indicated.... because the school is now a k-12 there are multiple issues due to the range of ages. Students have little to no opportunity to participate in classes other than the basics. The PTA decided to purchase a rock wall instead of adding equipment to...

I believe in creating your own destiny and your experiences are what you make of them. This school is rural and does not have the troubles of a large school like gangs, violent crime, over-populated sports teams, mega classrooms, and the like. The teachers are some of the most qualified in the state...
