The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

I would definitely say that VWHS is a school for kids who struggle to have any motivation to succeed in life. It's not meant for students who are going to achieve big things in their future.

Victoria west is a very good school with a very good set of teachers. The school building itself is very good as well as it is still very new although the placement of the building is not ideal as the only road leading to the school is on the side of the highway which causes a lot of traffic as people try to turn into the school leading to a lot of back ups when to many people try to turn into it which stops traffic traveling the opposite way

What I liked about West is that the community was good, everyone was usually kind to one another and we all had someone to fall back on. Especially in the marching band, the marching band is filled with love, laughter, and happiness. It was my happy place in high school, I felt it was the main place I could go where I could be myself with no judgement. West needs to change by making the school safer, for the kids and the faculty. It's a good school, it just has its flaws, but all of them are fixable, so if we could fix the safety and everything else that needs to be fixed, then West could be a really amazing high school where kids would love to go to school.
Sadly this school cares about dress code more than our education. They say they're trying to prepare us for the "real world". If thats so, then why aren't they putting as much effort to our education as they are with the dress code. There is not a single thing I like about this school. Teachers quit...
