I've been at maret since kindergarten and i couldn't have asked for a better experience. The community that Maret fosters is truly a unique one, that not a lot of other schools can replicate. Diversity plays a huge role, as students and teachers come from countless backgrounds and represent various cultures, religions, and ethnicities.

maret is a good school with a terrible environment. i assume all the expensive private schools in dc have this same toxic environment, but it's just filled with rudeness among students, but certain staff members not only don't stop it, but engage in it. maret has potential, and i support its mission, but the execution is terrible. i've have some of the best teachers i've ever had, but some of the worst. i think anyone graduating maret will turn out just fine, it's just about if your willing to torture yourself through all the toxicity the school holds.

it is small but the teachers are quite amazing and there are so many resources. the size doesn't stop the school from having great sports culture, and an okay social scene.

Now that my son has graduated this hell, I can safely warn other potential parents about the dangers of becoming affiliated with this school. Maret is unabashedly self-serving and will do whatever is necessary to promote itself over the needs of its students. Should you choose to enroll your son or...

I am the parent of three Maret alumni, all of whom started in kindergarten. Each of them, though very different individuals, had a fabulous experience at Maret. We could not be happier with the high-quality academics, sports, and other extracurriculars the school provided them. The ongoing strong se...

Leadership, in my opinion, makes all the difference both in and out of the classroom. Leardership that is student focused verses organizational focused is why we looked to a private school education. Attitudes generally reflect leadership, Maret has a few wonderful teachers as does many other privat...

Not only the school environment is great but they also really want to know about your kid qualities as a person, academically etc. other schools spoke so much about their school curriculum and curses they offer (which of course is something we all are interested too) but didn't show much interest in...
