GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I only gave a 4/5 star review only because there has been no consequences for the people that vape. Yes there have been detectors installed but nothing has changed, you cannot go to the bathroom without someone being in there vaping and then you be scared that they are going to think that it was you. Otherwise every teacher that I have had has been amazing and willing to help when I don't quit understand something and they are always willing to push me outside of my comfort zone so I can expand on my learning. I cannot wait for my senior year!

Like the school a lot because the number of kids is not that high, so you able to create that one on one relationship with those who work here. Sports are average, not a lot of funding but they are working on it.

East high is a good school coming from a smaller town it is not that bad. The school is not way to big and they offer lots of different classes. They even offer free college classes through hawkeye and uni.

Our daughter attends East High and is provided special education. She is supported, engaged, and thriving due to the love and support of the staff. Others in the school acknowledge that have come to know her, go out of their way to say hi or a quick chat. Students and staff encourage her and help he...
