GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Waukesha West High school is my current high school. It is pretty average by all means, but the opportunities it offers here, in excellent arts and music programs, accelerated academic classes, and career pathways allowing hands-on experience offered through schools, are all very special and a huge driver towards allowing its students to succeed.

Waukesha West is not very diverse, but most of the staff try to be inclusive of the students various backgrounds. Although the school board has taken drastic steps to ban and remove signs concerning Anti-Racist work, Safe Place signs, and Pride Flags despite student protest and testaments to how the signs made them feel safe in school.

Better college prep and act/sat prep, the school has great academics and sports but the parking lot exit is very bad and sometimes takes as long as 20-25 minutes to get out of the parking lot.

It's extremely accepting and welcoming to new students, the teachers are entertaining and really know how to teach the material in ways you'll remember it.

This school does not prepare students for academic success after high school. My son got A's in his AP classes and did very poorly in the same subjects (intro level) in college. His fellow graduates that were 3.5 or higher grade point average are struggling and some have dropped out of college after...

I'm currently a junior at Waukesha West and things have gotten better now that we have a new principal. So far, I've really enjoyed the experience, especially my freshman and sophomore years. Naturally, junior year is much harder and stressful. Therefore, I haven't been enjoying this year all that m...
