GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

As a parent of a student at Wayland Union High School, I have felt informed and included in my child's academic progress. Emails and text messages go out to parents regularly about upcoming events, tests, and opportunities for the students. The school has done a great job of preparing both students and parents on "what to do next" as graduation approaches and college draws near.

I liked the atmosphere but I believe there can be more done academically to improve college readiness and to get more students to be engaged in community involvement. Food, administration, and safety were great. Academics and culture were average.
