I use to love the freedom that we use to have at school to be able to just go to the bathroom or bring my lunch to a table, so I didn't have to eat in the cafeteria. That's how school was through my freshman and junior year, I really enjoyed going to school. But now a lot has changed and I have to make a pass on my phone just to go to the bathroom or locker. The problem with this is that the passes don't always work for me and it honestly takes for ever, when in reality the time I'm waiting for the pass to work, I could have been back from wherever I needed to go already and continue learning. I also think that a lot of my teachers didn't care about me or my well-being while I was in school, I felt like they didn't care if I succeed or not. Throughout my time there, there was only 3 teachers that I though helped me the most through my time in highschool. I think some of the faculty needs to care more about the students success.

There were some very competent and excellent teachers but for every competent teacher in the department there was another teacher that made you wonder how they ever graduated college. The music department and science department had more qualified teachers with only one or two teachers being awful. Administration has lost control of the underclassmen and they just roam the halls causing general chaos. There were a lot of clubs that were very fun but in regards to sports many of my friends and I had verbally abusive and emotionally manipulative coaches. The school is willing to hire and make department head teachers like my precalc teacher who told me I was too dumb for calculus and STEM in general because I had a 90 in his class when he couldn't even actually solve the problems he gave us. I got accepted into school for chemistry and got a 5 on my AP calc exam as well as being told I was very capable of a stem major by my AP chem teacher that was a chemical engineer for 3M.

The AP programs are exemplary and only growing, the school administrators are former teachers, and the music, arts, and athletics are some of the best in Monroe county.
