It is not a bad public school. The majority of the teachers are awesome, they're understanding and they try to put the most into every lesson plan. There are always security guards for our safety, and I have always felt safe inside the building. Thomas has a great music program, as well as art programs, and I'd say it's overall a good school :)

I use to love the freedom that we use to have at school to be able to just go to the bathroom or bring my lunch to a table, so I didn't have to eat in the cafeteria. That's how school was through my freshman and junior year, I really enjoyed going to school. But now a lot has changed and I have to make a pass on my phone just to go to the bathroom or locker. The problem with this is that the passes don't always work for me and it honestly takes for ever, when in reality the time I'm waiting for the pass to work, I could have been back from wherever I needed to go already and continue learning. I also think that a lot of my teachers didn't care about me or my well-being while I was in school, I felt like they didn't care if I succeed or not. Throughout my time there, there was only 3 teachers that I though helped me the most through my time in highschool. I think some of the faculty needs to care more about the students success.

The teachers are exceptional. The atmosphere is inclusive, safe and comfortable. Throughout my 4 years at Thomas I feel that I am very fortunate to have been able to go there. I played sports and the coaches were insightful and encouraging. One of the best schools around and I am lucky to have attended.

The AP programs are exemplary and only growing, the school administrators are former teachers, and the music, arts, and athletics are some of the best in Monroe county.
