Hamlin Charter Academy provides a diverse education in a supportive environment that promotes motivation and excellence in every aspect of learning. Their principles of whole-child education—a deeply interconnected program of academics, arts, physical development and moral education—is the base of the entire curriculum. Academic programs meet the California Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts (ELA), English Language Development (ELD), mathematics, history, social studies, health and physical education. Hamlin Charter Academy meets the California State Standards for visual and performing arts, the California Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for science and the California Department of Education standards for special education programs. Hamlin Charter Academy also has a Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program for eligible students. As part of the LAUSD Beyond the Bell initiative, students have access to high quality, safe and supervised education, enrichment and recreation programs that engage and inspire learning. At Hamlin Charter Academy, students will have a multitude of opportunities to become innovative twenty-first century thinkers and responsible digital citizens.

Hamlin is the best school you can send your growing children too, the teachers are very hands on & take in the students as if they were their own. The staff is great in the office, especially Liz!!!I couldn’t have asked for a better school, the dynamic here is something out of a Daniel Tiger episode...

My son has been at Hamlin since TK and is now a fifth-grade student. We love the teachers and staff. It is a small school that provides a lot of fun, enriching opportunities for students.
