The minute I walked onto campus I knew Buxton was the school for me. I had never before nor since felt such a strong sense of community. The teachers at Buxton know every student. After revisiting Buxton years later and hearing about the student life, classes and ethos at Buxton i wondered " can this school have gotten even better!?"

Buxton is a great community and a place for students to be together in a relaxed learning and social environment. The food is amazing and the campus is beautiful. Most people describe high school as an awful traumatizing time in their lives. As a Buxton student bullying and peer pressure were not of concern. Many people describe their life long friends as from college. I can say for sure that my life-long friends are from Buxton.

You can do so many cool extracurricular things here, from metalshop to knitting club to Dungeons and Dragons to boxing to yoga. It's also incredibly easy to create a club or event. You just announce that you want to start a club and if people are interested, they'll join. Turn-out can occasionally be small, because of how small the school is, but the variety is huge for a schoo of this size.

As a student at Buxton, my best advice to people looking to apply would be to save your money and continue searching for other schools.
