AOA was the perfect place for my K-12 school education. It is one of the few places that marginalized folks can find diverse and inclusive spaces in Lake County, which was undoubtedly crucial for my childhood education. AOA has a true commitment to student success–if a student is struggling, AOA cares, they will work with the student/student's family to ensure the success and support of the student. The small class sizes and faculty/staff to student ratio is key in this–to making each student feel heard, understood, and important. I don't know of any other school where teachers, coaches, and choir directors would all come together to ensure a student could participate in the extracurriculars they wanted to AND be successful academically. AOA is a truly special place and if I could go back, I would absolutely choose it again.

I'm a senior at AOA and I've been here for 13 years. The small community allows each student to be cared for. I've received so much from teachers and counselors in lower school, middle school, and upper school. The college counselor has helped me throughout my upperclassmen years with the common app, creating a college list, and much more. The campus is very nice and the perfect size. The diversity of the school makes AOA very unique and gives me experiences that I wouldn't experience anywhere else.

this school is great i love the teachers and staff. I also love to pay sports. AOA has a great sports curriculum. let's go phoenix!!!!

Excellent! My daughter and son went to a local public school which were horrible both in their teaching and in making sure students were safe. AOA has been wonderful. The classes are small. amazing, amazing, amazing school. I'm a new student, and the school is absolutely amazing. there's more than seven clubs, by the way, and I really love the fine art and academic opportunity they have here. I really love the focus on creative thinking. it makes learning fun!
