Great school with dual enrollment; most teachers are nice, understanding, and teach their classes well. Not too many APs available, but the ones that are available are mostly taught well.

It is a small school with only ~500 students total, with friendly staff that attend. There is a large diversity of people from many backgrounds, all bringing something to the table in their attendance at HTPA. Because HTPA is such a small school, it is easy to find some new friends, Most of my friends I met or started talking to in High school, teamwork is also emphasized at this school, as everyone wants to see each other succeed. A downside to this school is that it may be very academically rigorous, and trying to balance school life is difficult on top of having college classes to take at LAHC which is right next to the college, expect to be doing work for at least 6 hours a week. The experience offered here is unique and can't be found at other large public high schools local to the area, I don't regret coming here, but if you want the class high school experience where you hang out with friends without caring for school, this isn't for you, you need to dedicate time here.

I am grateful to have attended this school. Although it got very difficult at times, I believe that it built endurance for me and taught to never be afraid of things that may seem challenging to me. It has taught me to power through and be strong in even the worst of times and I am extremely gratefu...

As a graduate of the first graduating class, I am glad to say that my alma mater has made my academic career quite successful. I have received my Master's degree (as well as my B.A) by age 22, and am currently working a career job. I can say that the professionalism that HTPA teaches goes a long way...

All I can comment on is the administration, which seems to be lacking... for over two years I have had to complain about messages left on my answering machine about a child I don't have either missing classes or having detention. Despite multiple conversations with their staff, the problem has yet t...
