In my experience the children are 1-2 grade levels behind in the standard education. Bullying and racism is rampant. New principal is doing good things just not in time for my own children. College readiness and standardized test scores reflect the issues in teaching standards.

The staff and teachers are fair minded, but demanding of high standards. A large amount of student body participates in sports and non-academic activities. Supported by community.
