GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

While many improvements have been made in supporting students from different backgrounds, there is still much more to be strived for in regards to those with struggles at home. There could be better systems in place to motivate students to make strides in not only academics but also in physical and mental health. The options for students who struggle are available but not always optimal.

The academics were great, and give you a solid base for finding a career path or college. Clubs and elective choices are very widespread and sports teams are a great place to make connections with others as well as learn team bonding skills.

While Windham lacks diversity in the student body, it did set me up well for college. I do feel that the honors/AP track was often too intensely competitive, but I'm not sure if that was due to the teachers or the students in the classes. Overall, I had many great teachers while I was there, but I think many of them have since left to work in different schools.
