I was a new student at SHCS, and everyone was very welcoming. It's your average, high needs city public school.

There are a lot of clubs and extracurriculars that are available for students. They do a good job with trying to motivate kids and there are a lot of dedicated staff.

Overall, South is a fairly good school, some of the people aren't the best but the education you receive is pretty good as far as public school education goes
