Lee Middle School and Lee High School are located in the same building at 1335 Lee Street SW in the Urbandale neighborhood of Wyoming, Michigan. The newly renovated Lee Middle/High School serves grades six through twelve, and is the product of a $17.9 million bond program passed in 2020. The project allowed for a larger media center and music room, four new classrooms, a new cafeteria, updated technology, newer furnishings and improved security. The middle school serves approximately 500 students in sixth through eighth grade with the student-to-teacher ratio being twenty-one to one. The 6th grade campus is located in a separate building, incorporating the school’s one-to-one program by creating a project-based learning environment with the use of modern technology.
In the high school, approximately 500 students in grades nine through twelve are taught with innovative and creative instruction through the school’s rigorous curriculum that includes all content areas: English language arts, math, science and social studies. The Advanced Placement participation rate at Lee High School is 21 percent. An extensive visual and performing arts curriculum, multiple extracurricular activities and athletic programs are available to students as well.
Lee Middle/High School offers their English Language Learners program to students whose first language is one other than English.
The school recently changed its mascot from the “Rebels” to the “Legends”, with the colors Navy Blue and Vegas Gold, competing in the Ottawa-Kent Conference Silver Division.
