Good school but terrible school board, lacks needed facilities for programs like music and sports. Caring staff.

Not bad for academics. Very inconsistent of the fact their students have to cross the street to get to different classes. Instead of calling a snow day or w-learning day this kids are forced to walk outside in the middle of a snow storm. Absolutely ridiculous!! Also spend way too much money on things that are not urgently necessary. Instead of figuring out a way to get more parking spaces for their students they decided it was necessary that the baseball and softball teams needed turf. Which definitely wasn't as urgent and trying to get parking for students. But than they ticket the kids for parking in visitor parking. This school need to get their priorities straight.

Overall, I like going to this school. It has a good academic scene, a majority of the staff seem to really care about their students learning. Twice a week the students get an hour of free time to do whatever they need to do in order to meet their academic goals (retake tests, meet with teachers, etc). It has a great music program that never fails to impress.

A Terrible Experience at Yorkville High School – Avoid if PossibleI honestly don't know where to start with just how disappointing my entire experience at Yorkville High School was. This institution, which prides itself on being one of the “better” schools in the area, is, in reality, a complete fai...

I have attended Yorkville all my life and in the years of 2019 to present it has been going down hill. Sadly in the recent years there has a HUGE increase of students doing drugs selling drugs vaping you name it the school is seeing it. After months of seeing it and hiding from parents they finally...

I am currently a student at this school, and it is absolutely miserable. It is absolutely not the place that its test scores and athletic records promote. The staff, with a few rare exceptions, don't care one bit about their students. Kids bully each other, use vulgar language and racist slurs on a...
