GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I would like more college courses to be available for students to take. I feel that AP classes are important to prepare students for college.

YHS is a good school, don't get me wrong. I do feel that I was at least decently prepared for college, and most of the teachers mesh really well with the students.

My experience at Yorkville High School is that the best experience I witness was doing after school activities because I get tried an activity that involved one of my hobbies and doing something new that I didn't do before. The worst thing I went throughout of my 4 years at Yorkville High School is there some bully occur in Algebra 2 and US History during my Junior Year because my classmate wouldn't stop picking and bothering my another classmate and his friend as it made feel uncomfortable to watch as he also made fun of me as well I did reach out to my social worker about this issue but my classmate wouldn't stop. What would I like to see to change at Yorkville High School is there cafeteria food because the quality look bad and it still tastes weird sometimes as the Yorkville school board should suggest on getting fresh food everyday and improve their menu.

A Terrible Experience at Yorkville High School – Avoid if PossibleI honestly don't know where to start with just how disappointing my entire experience at Yorkville High School was. This institution, which prides itself on being one of the “better” schools in the area, is, in reality, a complete fai...

I have attended Yorkville all my life and in the years of 2019 to present it has been going down hill. Sadly in the recent years there has a HUGE increase of students doing drugs selling drugs vaping you name it the school is seeing it. After months of seeing it and hiding from parents they finally...

I am currently a student at this school, and it is absolutely miserable. It is absolutely not the place that its test scores and athletic records promote. The staff, with a few rare exceptions, don't care one bit about their students. Kids bully each other, use vulgar language and racist slurs on a...
