Compact residential streets next to Bronx Park
Pelham Parkway sits right where the lawns of the Mosholu-Pelham Greenway meet the sprawling, 718-acre Bronx Park. This triangular-shaped northern Bronx neighborhood has a dense layout of long blocks of mid-rise apartment and co-op buildings with local businesses at the intersections. The red-brick residential theme continues into the east side’s single- and multifamily houses, “but this area is more about buildings with really good prices,” says Maria Capotorto, who grew up in the neighborhood and has over six years of real estate experience. “There’s an entry point,” she says, referring to co-op units averaging $200,000, “and you’re gonna get more space, too.” With 2 and 5 express trains nearby, Pelham Parkway is a smart choice for commuters who want more square footage or the chance to own a house in New York City for well under $1 million.

Entry-level co-ops and classic brick colonials
Compared to surrounding neighborhoods, Pelham Parkway has a higher ratio of co-op buildings to single- and multifamily homes. Throughout the neighborhood, pre- and postwar mid-rise co-op buildings have units that start at $125,000 for one bedroom and go up to $300,000 for two and three bedrooms. Most properties resemble the plain brick apartment buildings next to them, but a few have Art Deco details, and one Tudor-inspired development has a private courtyard. On the east side, single-family homes — many of which are semi-detached brick colonial revivals — are priced from $625,000 to $775,000. Multifamily homes in a similar architectural style range from $700,000 to $1.2 million, depending on size and if they’re fully detached.
Semi-detached homes are common throughout the Pelham Parkway neighborhood.

Global eateries and one of the Bronx’s few Starbucks
In Pelham Parkway, businesses congregate in the northwest corner. On White Plains Road, just off the subway station, “there are franchises and mom-and-pop stores mixed together,” Capotorto says. “So you can get fresh tamarind juice, street tacos as well as Starbucks.” Lydig Avenue, the main east-west road, has restaurants that cover the standard New York City lineup of Chinese, Latin American and Italian cuisine, as well as Jamaican and Eastern European spots. Plus, there are multiple supermarkets for groceries.

I honestly don't see the police much around here, maybe it's because there's not much crimes around here, but they should be around either way

Honestly speaking this area is not bad, but if my mother was better financially or if U get the chance to go to an university and get a better life is wouldn't exactly choose to live here again. I will go to a much better area meaning out of the bronx. But that's not possible for me rigth now.
