The local housing market and cost of living

“This is one of Aurora’s oldest communities, and there’s still some original housing in the area,” says Realtor Jason Morris with eXp Realty. “But they’ve also done a lot of development over the last decade, so there’s a nice balance of old and new.” Many homes were built throughout the mid-20th century, with some original builds dating back to the 1890s. Bungalows and ranch-style homes are common, and most have small, fenced-in back yards and narrow driveways, with many locals utilizing street parking. The area has seen revitalization in recent years, with some new construction on the neighborhood’s north side. North Aurora has a lower median home price compared to the Adams County median, with single-family homes starting in the low $200,000s and reaching the low $800,000s. There is a small selection of condos and townhouses in the area, with prices ranging from around $100,000 to the low $500,000s.
