A historic neighborhood of rowhouses in activity-rich Patterson Park

Blocks of red brick Victorian row houses surround 130 acres of green space in Patterson Park, a historic neighborhood in the heart of Baltimore. The community is tied together by its namesake park, reminiscent of New York’s Central Park but on a smaller scale. Charm City’s distinct flavor is on full display here, where neighbors are never far from the nightlife of Fells Point, the food vendors of Northeast Market and the incomparable Johns Hopkins Hospital. Whether prospective buyers want to wander beneath the leafy canopy in the park itself or simply observe the world from their rooftop deck, they can do so in Patterson Park.

Unique, century-old homes fill Patterson Park

Patterson Park’s narrow urban streets are neatly lined with red brick rowhouses of various Revival styles, including Federal, Colonial and Victorian-inspired builds, mostly developed between 1900 and the early 1920s. Some homes feature rooftop decks with scenic city views. Home prices range from the low $100,000s to the mid-$500,000s, varying by square footage, home age and remodel status. “It's more affordable than Canton, and it's still very walkable to bars, restaurants, the waterfront and Canton proper, where the nightlife is,” says Meighan Sweeney, a Realtor with Cummings and Co. Realtors with over 10 years of experience serving Maryland.
