A growing market and spacious lots

While many of the area’s homes were built between the 1960s and 1980s, newer, 21st-century developments are common, with new construction in the works on the outskirts of the community. Heights is home to established bi-levels, Colonial Revivals and ranch-style homes, along with brand new modern traditional, craftsman and single-story builds. The median property size is around 10,000 square feet, with some lots reaching a half acre or more. "In the Heights, you get more bang for your buck and larger lot sizes compared to other popular neighborhoods like the West End,” Haynie says. Single family houses range from $210,000 to $450,000. Manufactured homes go from $50,000 to $140,000, while condos and townhouses sell for $250,000 to $360,000.
