Boca Country Club
Competitively priced single-family homes, townhomes and condos
New Traditional single-family homes typically sell for between $440,000 and $840,000. Condo and townhome prices start closer to $400,000 and rise to about $830,000. “What’s nice is that you get a country club vibe without the price tag. And there are a ton of different architectural styles. There’s one section that’s more Grecian themed, and others that are more Spanish,” Sokora says. Unlike in Boca Raton’s coastal neighborhoods, wind damage is more of a concern during hurricane season than flooding. “Insurance rates have gone up everywhere, but this area doesn’t flood,” Lepselter says.Highly rated Palm Beach County schools
The School District of Palm Beach County offers controlled open enrollment. The neighborhood’s assigned schools are Calusa Elementary, which earns an A from Niche, Omni Middle, which earns an A-minus, and Spanish River Community High, which gets an A-plus. The high school has several choice academies and in-house programs in subjects such as biotechnology, law, entrepreneurship and early childhood teacher education. Advent School, a private Lutheran school for preschool through eighth grade, earns an A-plus from Niche. Other private options nearby include Spanish River Christian School and Fusion Academy Boca Raton, which earn Bs.Close to golfing, ice skating, beach access and more
Boca Raton Golf & Racquet Club is the public golf club that backs up to the community. It has an 18-hole course and driving range, along with a putting green, golf shop and on-site restaurant. “If you’re driving, it’s only a minute. And as long as your golf cart is street legal, you can ride the golf cart right over,” Lepselter says. Boca Ice & Fine Arts Center, to the north, features an indoor ice rink, which hosts skating lessons and camps, field trips and bumper cars on ice events. Atlantic Dunes Park, less than 5 miles east, offers walk-on beach access and has seasonal lifeguards.Shopping/dining in downtown Boca and on close commercial corridors
For groceries, there’s a Costco off Congress Avenue and a Publix off Military Trail. Both stores are within 2 miles, or 10-minute drives, of most homes. Banks, pharmacies and other businesses are also nearby, along with dining options like Mooyah Burgers Fries & Shakes, First Watch and Los Olivos Bistro, an Argentinian eatery. “You’re also only 10 minutes from Town Center Mall and 15 minutes from downtown Boca,” Sokora says. Town Center Mall, a traditional indoor shopping center, is about 5 miles away; the walkable, high-end Mizner Park shopping, dining and entertainment district in downtown Boca Raton is less than 6 miles away. “Mizner Park is more family-friendly than the Atlantic Avenue nightlife area in Delray Beach,” Sokora says.Quick access to Interstate 95 and PalmTran bus stops
Access to Interstate 95, which runs north toward West Palm Beach and south toward Fort Lauderdale, is just over a mile away. International airports in both cities are less than 35 miles from Boca Country Club. PalmTran bus stops on Congress Avenue are within about a mile of most homes. Routes connect to destinations around Boca Raton, including Town Center Mall and Glades Plaza. Delray Medical Center, a little more than 4 miles northwest, is an under-15-minute drive in light traffic.
