Pine Brook Hill blends nature, privacy and community
Overlooking Boulder, atop the rolling foothills in the west, Pine Brook Hill is a quiet neighborhood of well-kept mountainside homes. Deer and other wildlife like to roam the area, serving as a reminder of the surrounding forests and natural landscape. A homeowners association also helps maintain the community, while hosting social events and providing wildfire prevention measures. North Boulder is just 2 miles away, so residents can enjoy Pine Brook Hill’s peaceful atmosphere and still have easy access to city amenities.

Pine Brook Hill’s forested landscape may be at risk of potential wildfires in the summer months, which is why the HOA has a Firewise Committee. The group is dedicated to helping residents protect their homes via wildfire defense, using techniques such as home hardening and fire-resistant landscaping. These methods are created following the National Fire Protection Association’s guidelines. “A lot of people who live in the neighborhood are engaged in the voluntary fire department,” Griffith says. “It helps with insurance, safety and community.
