The Sierra Nevada foothills community of Cameron Park offers retail, dining, watersports, golf and entertainment to its residents. “People who live there, for the most part, have been there for 20 years. People aren’t coming and going every few years,” says Broker Associate and Realtor Samuel Weiner of Samuel Weiner Home Selling Team - eXp Realty. Cameron Park residents access nature in their oak-wooded yards or the community’s various public spaces. Weiner added that lot sizes are usually larger than in suburbs closer to Sacramento. The larger plots of land are also very usable because the hills have a gradual grade.
Farmhouse and ranch-style homes
“In Cameron Park, you’ll get significantly more home for your money than in nearby areas like Folsom,” Weiner says. “It’s a pretty darn good bang for your buck, and people like not being stuck in a tiny box.” Homebuyers can purchase a 1980s two-bedroom, two-bathroom farmhouse-style home for $380,000. Three-bedroom, two-bathroom 1970s ranch-style homes are valued between $500,000 and $650,000. A four-bedroom, three-bathroom 1990s home overlooking the fairways of Cameron Park Country Club enters the market at around $800,000. Since aviation is a popular activity among a portion of the residents, many of the homes have oversized garages that are used as aircraft hangars.
