Monroe Road runs along the neighborhood's eastern border and includes several stores and eateries. Ted’s Restaurant offers simple dishes like chicken breasts, shrimp salads and hamburgers. The Corner Thrift mainly sells hand-me-down clothing. People travel 5 miles west to shop at retailers like Nordstrom, Abercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle at SouthPark Mall.
