How Whetstone Park links to trails and garden spaces
Whetstone Park is a popular outdoor hub, spanning nearly 150 acres with sports fields and fishing ponds. Within it, the Columbus Park of Roses covers about 13 acres and features more than 11,000 roses across distinct areas, including a Heritage Garden and Perennial Garden. Whetstone Park also connects to the Olentangy Trail, a paved multi-use path that follows the Olentangy River for about 14 miles. The trail links to several other parks and extends to downtown Columbus, drawing walkers and cyclists.

The neighborhood is also home to a major job creator: OhioHealth Methodist Hospital. “People love the access to the Olentangy Freeway and a top medical facility,” says Thomas Hamrick, a Realtor with Keller Williams Consultants and a lifelong resident of Columbus.
