Four miles away, the state park provides more trails and beaches by a large lake reservoir. “We have the mountains and great trails. I grew up going to the Cherry Creek Reservoir to boat and water ski with my family,” says Chris Kiker, a longtime local and a real estate agent at Keller Williams Realty DTC in Centennial. “Even with my friends, we would go fish on the dock. I actually worked at the marina down there when I was in high school, and I took sailing lessons there in middle school. I spent a lot of time there growing up. There’s a lot to do in that area. We’re going there with our Cub Scout troop this spring.”
