Alameda County’s first new high school in 50 years
Jose Maria Amador Elementary School is walkable from most homes in the neighborhood and receives an A grade from Niche. There, extracurriculars include, among others, band, orchestra and journalism. Students can also partake in arts programming after the final bell rings. Afterward, they may move forward to the A-rated Eleanor Murray Fallon Middle School before finishing their secondary education at Emerald High School, which opened in August 2024 to accommodate the city’s rapid population growth, it’s the first high school to be built in Alameda County in over half a decade and has yet to receive a score from Niche.Ninety-foot zipline in Sean Diamond Park
The development incorporates generous green spaces. A tennis court, grass volleyball court, playground and 90-foot zipline surround a well-manicured circular gathering space at the center of Sean Diamond Park, named after a local who died in service during the Iraq War. Farther north, the nature-themed play area at Positano Hills Park echoes nearby views of the rolling landscape past Dublin’s easternmost development. Positano’s streets are lined with new traditional homes with stone facades and Spanish Colonial Revival details, like arched doorways and red tile roofs. Most belong to a homeowners association with monthly fees of around $125. With a dramatic population increase across the city and newer builds in the neighborhood, homes in Positano rarely come on the market. Only two homes have sold over the year before February 2025, both going for over $2 million.The CAP Index crime score in Positano is 1 out of 10, which is significantly lower than the national average of 4.
Interstate access to Livermore and Oakland
Positano Parkway is the bridge between the subdivisions that make up the neighborhood and the rest of the city. Wheels Bus route 2 stops along the road and travels through the rest of the city. Positano is also just north of Interstate 580, which commuters can take to neighboring Livermore in the east or to Oakland in the northwest.Asian restaurants surround big-box retail at Fallon Gateway
Several shopping centers are located a few miles south of Positano Hills. Fallon Gateway is the closest one, where several Pan-Asian restaurants surround a Target and a DICK’S Sporting Goods. Seoul Jung encourages patrons to bring an appetite with an all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue menu of proteins they can grill themselves at the table. Chaat Café prepares flavorful Indian curries, tandoor-grilled meat and other South Asian classics with a side of fluffy, charred naan bread. The Safeway is about 3 miles southwest.
