A small town with a lot to offer
Bordering Massachusetts, the small Connecticut town of Enfield is really a conglomerate of several communities like Hazardville and Thompsonville. In between pockets of subdivisions, residents will find farms, forests and clusters of shops and businesses. Enfield manages to offer a lot of variety in terms of living options, recreation and living and dining, and further, is right between two major New England cities. “Enfield has a convenient location between the cities of Springfield, Massachusetts and Hartford Connecticut,” says Stephen Travali, an Associate Broker with Century 21 who has been selling properties in the area for almost 40 years. “It’s a close-knit and diversified community.” Two-bedroom homes start at $275,000, but there are options for multi-generational families and seniors as well.

On the market, homebuyers will find bungalows from the 1920s, Cape Cod and raised ranch-style homes from the ‘60s and ‘70s, New Traditional homes with colonial influences and occasional historic homes from the 19th, or even 18th, century. Two-bedroom homes tend to start around $275,000 with more modern, spacious builds fetching above $450,000. Ready-to-go multi-generational homes with at least 3,000 square feet of space usually start around $350,000. Condo units start at around $230,000 for about 1,200 square feet of space.
