With views and close amenities, Valle Hermosa’s location is an asset
Valle Hermosa is a Hemet 55-plus community whose name translates to “beautiful valley.” It’s a moniker that can be hard to argue with, with views of the San Jacinto Mountains on virtually every one of the neighborhood’s wide streets. The mountains overlook a collection of established, well-maintained houses within a mile of Hemet’s biggest commercial thoroughfare. “It’s so convenient because it’s one street off Florida Avenue, and it’s super easy to navigate,” says George Williams, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Associated Brokers Realty, who serves on the Southwest Riverside County Association of Realtors board of directors.
Valle Hermosa features compact homes with a cohesive style
The houses around this neighborhood are all very similar — bungalow styles built in the 1970s and '80s, attached at the garage, and between 800 and 1,200 square feet. Williams says they all have private backyards and that most have been cared for over the years. The interiors feature galley-style kitchens, two bedrooms, and one or two bathrooms. Prices fall between $200,000 and $300,000.

Ramona Bowl Amphitheatre is known for it's long-running play "Ramona"
The neighborhood is a 5-mile trip from the 5,000-seat Ramona Bowl Amphitheatre, which was built into the natural, mountain landscape. The venue hosts an annual production of the “Ramona” play every April and May. It’s a tradition that dates back more than 100 years, and the love story is considered the longest-running outdoor drama in the country. “It’s almost like you’re drawn to go to it,” Williams says. “People travel just to see the play.”
