This neighborhood is too spread out to be walkable, but that means homeowners get a lot of privacy. Some roads are paved and some are unpaved. Homes built in the 90s and the mid-20th century are chiefly ranch-styles with Spanish Revival influences, such as tile roofs and stucco siding. Prices range from about $500,000 to $780,000. History of fires
Mentone is at risk for poor air quality and fires. According to riskfactor.com, Mentone’s air quality is worse than 88% of California neighborhoods. And unfortunately, a fire in the summer of 2023 burned 90 acres across the community. However, the Morton Peak Fire Lookout watches over Mentone and surrounding areas. The San Bernardino County Fire Department services the area with assistance from Redlands Fire Department.
