A semi-rural community just 12 miles east of downtown Indianapolis
Southeast Warren, located 12 miles east of downtown Indianapolis in Warren Township, offers a semi-rural atmosphere that blends the tranquility of the countryside with the conveniences of suburban living such as single family homes surrounded by trees and some spacious open yards full of grass. Originally a separate farming community, Southeast Warren became part of Indianapolis around 1970, following decades of growth spurred by the construction of major highways. Today, this neighborhood is a residential area surrounded by wooded areas, and waterways such as Grass Creek, Muesing Creek and Buck Creek that flow through the neighborhood. “You can step outside your back door and hear the sound of the creeks running—it’s a calming feature you won’t find in many neighborhoods this close to the city," says Charles Sheppard, Realtor at AMR Real Estate LLC.
