Village of De La Vista
Patio Villas and Courtyard Villas, many with no bonds
De La Vista’s homes are a mix of Patio Villas and Courtyard Villas built between 1994 and 1996. Most offer two bedrooms, but one-bedroom and three-bedroom styles are also available, offering buyers many options. Prices range from the mid-$200,000s to the mid-$500,000s. Higher priced homes offer recent renovations or views of the De La Vista Executive Golf Course or the wildlife preserve at Grass Pond. Because the homes are older, many have had their bonds paid off. According to Anderson, this is a big draw to the neighborhood. "Houses down south can be more expensive and still have bonds. You get more bang for your buck in this neighborhood." The Villages places bonds ranging from $20,000 to $100,000 on every new home built in the community, which buyers can pay in full at closing or pay off in monthly installments. Lot sizes run small, so homes sit close together on manicured lawns, though homes along the neighborhood’s cul-de-sacs tend to have bigger yards. The clear and quiet streets give residents plenty of room to walk their dogs or ride bikes.Golf lovers tee off at Tierra Del Sol Country Club and De La Vista Executive Golf Course
The De La Vista Executive Golf Course is within the neighborhood and offers nine holes. For a full day of golf, residents head to nearby Tierra Del Sol Country Club, whose 18-hole championship golf course is said to be the most challenging course in all of The Villages. The Tierra Del Sol Recreation Center connects to the country club and is a popular spot for friendly games of tennis and pickleball or dips in the adults-only pool. De La Vista is also close to The Villages Polo Club, which holds regular matches during the spring and fall, and the Rio Grande Air Gun Range, which offers practice facilities and holds competitions.Close to live entertainment at Spanish Springs and The Sharon
The Tierra Del Sol Country Club has a restaurant that serves lunch and dinner and offers live music several afternoons a week. De La Vista is also close to Spanish Springs, one of The Villages' walkable town squares. It features a variety of restaurants, including local chains like Bella Vita Italian Steakhouse and Flippers Pizzeria. After dinner, residents can head to the middle of the square for live music and dancing. Those who love the performing arts are close to The Sharon, a 1,000-seat theater that hosts live theater, ballet and classical music concerts. For everyday essentials, retailers along nearby Route 441include Publix, Target and Sam’s Club.Route 466 and Florida’s Turnpike for travels around Central Florida
Most residents choose to get around The Villages by golf cart. For longer trips, Florida's Turnpike is nearby. Orlando and its international airport are about 60 miles away, and Tampa is about 90 miles away.
