Traditional homes with nearby retail and dining make living in Crown Pointe easy
Crown Pointe is a classically suburban neighborhood just 6 miles from Downtown Lincoln. : Featuring two-story traditional-style homes, large yards with grassy lawns, in-ground swimming pools, and sidewalks on every street and cul-de-sac, the vibe is welcoming and established. “It’s pretty quiet in Crown Pointe,” says Realtor Saul Bakewell, a realtor with Nebraska Realty for over ten years. “The only sounds you’ll hear are kids playing football in their yards or occasional scooters zooming through the neighborhood. Other than that, you might hear occasional airplanes overhead and dogs barking. And that’s exactly what residents want!”
Crown Pointe has about 220 homes built between 1985 and 2000, and a few small pockets of retail and commercial businesses. The northeast corner of Crown Pointe, facing 84th Street, features the maintenance-free luxury apartments of Rockledge Oaks. Adjacent to them are grocery, dining and recreation spots, including a bowling alley. These conveniences allow many residents to walk or bike to pick up necessities or a bite to eat. That makes sense with a neighborhood bike score of 54 out of 100 from Walk Score.
