Most properties went up in the mid-1970s, though plenty of interiors have been updated since. Alamitos Bay is one of the largest recreation marinas in Southern California, with over 1,600 boat slips and a variety of yacht clubs. The Marine Stadium section of the bay is a rectangular venue for water skiing and rowing that hosted events during the 1932 Olympics, and spectators can still catch boating competitions from the stadium's sandy shores today.
