Suburban-living along the Victory Memorial Parkway
Expansive medians dotted with elm trees welcome residents into this northern Minneapolis suburb along the Victory Memorial Parkway – a park-like drive with World War I memorials and a paved pedestrian and bicycle pathway connecting residents to nearby Camden and Victory to the north. “It's a very popular neighborhood with family-owned gems like Tooties, my favorite local restaurant and bar,” says long-time local Stephanie Gruver, Realtor with RE/MAX Results. Cleveland is known for its small-town feel and community-oriented atmosphere, which are products of local mainstays like The Lowry Café and events like the annual Music & Movies at Victory Park, hosted in part by the Cleveland Neighborhood Association. Amenities like Cleveland Park's splash pad and Lakeview Terrace Park's boat ramp keep residents busy year-round. With easy access to U.S. Interstate 94, 6-mile commutes into downtown Minneapolis are highly accessible.

Classic Colonials and Tudor cottages
The real estate market in Cleveland is attractive for its entry-level pricing and proximity to local landmarks like the Victory Memorial Parkway. With a median sales price of $218,000, homes here are more affordable than the average property in the Minneapolis Metro Area. With an average construction year of the late 1920s, Cleveland features home styles common of the era, from bungalows and Cape Cods to Colonial and Tudor designs. Homes on Xerxes Avenue enjoy unobstructed views of the Victory Memorial Parkway and are subject to increased price points. “Cleveland has some very beautiful houses regardless of what street you’re on, but the Parkway homes have really stately, classic architecture,” says Gruver, who has been selling in the area for over 15 years. Single-family homes range from the low $100,000s for a two-bedroom bungalow fixer-upper to upwards of $400,000 for an updated two-bedroom Cape Cod along Xerxes Avenue. While the area is primarily made up of single family homes, some multi-family duplexes are also available and range from the low $300,000s to upwards of $400,000. Homes here are often fronted by mid-sized yards with paved entryways and detached garages. Streets are highly walkable, with paved sidewalks connecting the traditional grid layout of the neighborhood.
Cleveland is full of stately homes, making it a scenic neighborhood.

Summers are fantastic, sunny and warm with some thunderstorms. Winter is beautiful when there is snow.

The people who actually live in this neighborhood are kind and very welcoming. There happens to be quite a few shootings around the area sometimes but not as much as other parts of Minneapolis. There are many block parties and community activities that happen all-year round in the Cleveland neighborhood.

Unfortunately, there isn't much located in my neighborhood. There is a gas station near by that is very run down, uncared for and frankly uncomfortable to be near. We have a few little run shops that are also very run down. Nail salon, and hair salon, that is about it. We are mostly made up of houses and apartments. There is a lake near by and further towards the neighboring cities there are restaurants and other stores.
