A Northside Minneapolis suburb
Named after American scholar William Watts Folwell, the Folwell neighborhood sits on the Northside of Minneapolis, part of the larger Camden community. Residents moving here will immediately take notice of two distinct features: first, its combination of charming cottages & bungalows, and second, Folwell Park, the largest park in North Minneapolis. Home prices start at $100,000 and go up to $400,000. The neighborhood also has an active HOA, often planning community-based and seasonal events for residents. Aside from the diverse housing architecture and expansive park, Folwell also has quite a few local businesses worth visiting. These include The Lowry Cafe, a beloved neighborhood restaurant offering breakfast and lunch options. Heading 5 miles south of Folwell on nearby Interstate 94, residents will find downtown Minneapolis and all of its amenities: award-winning restaurants, historic theaters and upscale shopping.
Typical Folwell homes have modest floorplans with smaller city lots.

Stephanie Gruver, a Realtor with RE/MAX Results and fellow Camden resident, says the affordability and quality of homes are the main draws of Folwell for prospective homebuyers: “Basically, in these neighborhoods, you’re going to have the best chance to find a nice, quality pre-World War II house, three bedroom, two bath, for under $300,000. And certainly, there are homes over $300,000 — some can even go over $400,000.”
